Best Christmas Lights in Sydney CBD (Central Business District) to see in 2021 - Martin Place

The end of 2021 has finally come. While we have spent much of the year being in lockdown, now is the time to check out the best Christmas lights in Sydney CBD for this year. Get yourself into the Christmas cheer and joy by checking out the Christmas tree lights at Martin Place.

Christmas lights at Martin Place, Sydney

As I walked down the slopes of Martin Place, I was so excited to see everything lit up. I loved seeing and capturing that angle because I can see how beautiful it is from further away. I found it such a novelty experience because I hadn't made the effort to catch the Christmas lights during the last few years. After such a difficult year, it was wonderful seeing people enjoy themselves out and about.

Check out my video time-lapse of the Christmas lights at Martin Place below.

As I walked further down the ramp and steps, I was excited to see the constantly-changing lights on the tree. I liked how the colours of the lights shined on the wet ground after the rain. The clocktower in this image aligns nicely with the tree. It's like seeing Sydney come to life. After pressing the shutter button on my camera on a slow shutter speed, I couldn't wait to see what the final image looks like on my camera screen.

Very limited car space at this time of the year, especially with the party season going on. Be prepared to drive around until you find your ideal parking spot, especially in the later part of the week.
