Best places to see jacarandas in North Sydney - Australian Catholic University
Looking for the best places to see the jacarandas in North Sydney? Or keen to get away from the crowds in McDougall St in Kirribilli during the jacaranda season? Check out the Australian Catholic University (ACU) in North Sydney,
I loved how this tree partially covers the ACU office building. I captured these jacaranda trees in the courtyard of the university. As I was standing in the courtyard, good memories of my student days started to flow in. I recalled how I was fresh out of school and I found university itself a bit daunting at times. I was still getting used to the more independent style of learning.
I thought I'd have capture them from different angles. Each photo offers a different perspective and highlights certain aspects too.
I love how I was able to just capture those gorgeous purple blossoms. I think they contrast beautifully against the clear and crisp blue skies. The shape of the tree is also what I think makes this a beautiful jacaranda tree photo.
While this image doesn't have the sandstone look of University of Sydney, the terracotta roof and red brick buildings contrast beautifully with the deep blue skies and purples. I was facing the Vice-Chancellory building near the main entrance.
