Burrabru Reserve in Castlecrag, New South Wales
During lockdown, I developed a passion for discovering places that are more off-the-beaten track. When browsing through Google maps, I saw Burrabru Reserve (also known as Edinburgh Road Gardens) was surrounded by waterfront. I thought to myself that it must be a pretty place so I have to check it out. I was looking forward to capturing wildflowers there if there happens to be any.

I tried to position the palm tree in the middle of the image because it's the most prominent-looking feature out of all the other bushes. I loved the shadows featured in this shot too.
As I descend down the flight of stairs, I see beautiful views like this below:

With this image, I love how I can see the boats sitting calmly on the waters which gives a sense of tranquility. I also love how the palm tree gives a holiday atmosphere to this image. It's like I'm in another world away from the rat race. It's nice to know that I don't have to go right into the Sydney Harbour to enjoy views like this below.

Getting to Burrabru Reserve in Castlecrag, New South Wales
Drive straight on Eastern Valley Way and turn at Edinburgh Road. Continue on Edinburgh Road until you see a sign saying Burrabru Reserve.
Via public transport
Take bus route 275 and get off at the bus stop at Edinburgh Road at Linden Way. Walk 5 minutes along Edinburgh Road until you see a sign saying Burrabru Reserve.
