Figtree Point in Northbridge, New South Wales
Having developed a passion for discovering local reserves and parks with waterviews and a few bushes, I developed an interest in checking out Figtree Point (aka Hallstrom Point). I love anything that's local and off-the-beaten track. Even better, it has some interesting history. Hallstrom Point was named after Sir Edward Hallstrom, a philanthropist and local industrialist. His home 'Figtree House' (now demolished) was located on Coolawin Road.

As you can see, the rock shelf is exposed at low tide which gives access to beautiful views of Middle Harbour. Notice the boats lying on the rocks.

The longer I stayed there, the more fascinated I am with the interesting rock formations. I love how the tree shadows go over the rock shelf and boats while looking over towards Middle Harbour at the same time.
