Where to see the Vivid lights outside the Sydney city centre

Love the Vivid lights but hate fighting with the crowds in the Sydney CBD? Check out these stunning harbourside locations on Sydney's lower north shore where you'll get postcard views of Sydney Harbour illuminated in colour.

Blues Point Reserve

See the fabulous Sydney icons right in front of you from Blues Point, especially with the lit up sailing boats passing by.

The light streaks featured in this lively-looking image gives this image a feeling of excitement. I could feel that Sydney is ready to get back into the swing of things again after Vivid was cancelled for two years due to covid.

Check out the time-lapse below featuring Sydney Harbour illuminated during Vivid from Blues Point.

Getting to Blues Point Reserve

Walk from North Sydney train station via Blues Point Rd or take the bus down. Alternatively, walk from McMahons Point ferry wharf via Henry Lawson Ave.

McMahons Point

As soon as you get off at the McMahons Point ferry wharf, you'll have picture perfect views of Sydney Harbour to yourself.

Kirribilli (outside the Luna Park main entrance)

Alight from Milsons Point ferry wharf and stand outside the main entrance of the iconic Luna Park. Notice the pylons of the Harbour Bridge lit up. A fabulous location if you're keen to enjoy the fun at Sydney's famous Luna Park at the same time.

I was so happy that I managed to capture the visual light display on the pylons. I also love how the pink lights gives it a funky look.
